1) Cole (marked with a black square) wins possession & plays the ball to Pires. He then makes a supporting run down the wing.

2) Pires runs at the defence and passes to Kanu.

3) Kanu dribbles and passes to Cole on the left wing.

4) Cole beats his defender, gets to the byline and crosses back for the unmarked Henry (white square) to score with a header.

- The first important moment is the supporting run off the ball by the defender Cole after winning the ball. He then shows high levels of skill to beat a defender and provide an accurate cross.
- The other interesting factor is Henry who instead of attacking the near post, remains unmarked in a deeper position in order to attack the cross played backwards from the byline.

- Defender supporting the attack.
- Technical ability to beat defenders.
- Accurate crossing and centre-forward able to create space.
